I have trouble removing SEP 12 on my laptop, even if I used cleanwipe. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.

    HI,

What error do you have received ?

You can remove for Add/remove program..

    Or

If you don't have any uninstall password change registry setting.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\AdministratorOnly\Security\UseVPUninstallPassword

    Set to 0 to disable

    Or

you can use cleanwipe. you need to contact technical support to avail this tool.

    Hi,

This is a known issue with the Microsoft Installer engine. More information can be found in Microsoft article “Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified location exists and is writable.” error when attempting to uninstall an application (KB2564571).
