  • 1.  unable to upgrade symantec to version 12 with error 1603

    Hi We have some issue upgrading Symantec to version 12 on windows 7 machine. Not sure whats going on as halfway during the installation an error popup.  Kindly assist to check the logs and share some advise.

    try restarting the machine once and then upgrade. if it still fails please post sis_inst.log

    Are you trying to upgrade unmanaged clients?
    Also check under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\ if you can find any product entry for Symantec Endpoint Protection.
