Using "Create Installed Software Filter" from an installed resource and noted that a older software version is still showing in the filter... e.g. Software ABC ver 5 is installed but ver 4 is also showing in the inventory.

Looking closer at a single computer's inventory, in the AddRemoveProgram I can see a couple of applications that have been upgraded but are still showing InstallFlag=1 with the older versions?

I'm looking for the filters and reports to show only active software installed, not a history?  Any feedback, ideas would be appreciated.

Have the devices ran an inventory since?

The software data in Inv_AddRemoveProgram is pulled from the Windows registry at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.  Different vendors handle this in different ways.  That is to say, some of them do it properly and some do not.

If you know that you are getting bad results from this vendor, and you know that running a Full Software Inventory task on a test computer or two is not resolving the issue, you may need to write a custom inventory.
