    What version of SEP?

You may need to disable tamper protection than:

    Open the registry

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC

Change the value for SmcGuiHasPassword from 1 to 0

    Restart the SMC service

    hi,

    Ways of uninstalling sep client

How to manually uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection client from Windows 2000, XP and 2003, 32-bit Editions

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH102261

    OR

If you don't have any uninstall password change registry setting.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\AdministratorOnly\Security\UseVPUninstallPassword

    Set to 0 to disable

    OR

You can use Symantec Cleanwipe Utility. To receive the Utility, you need to contact Technical Support.

    Hi Brain,

It will work to all SEP version ?

it will not work on SEP 12.1

SmcGuiHasPassword is the password to open sep interface

useVpuninstall password used to work in SAV and earlier version of SeP that, was 11.0.

AFAIK this is the only way to uninstall. Check this link

    Hi,

You can manage all the settings through the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) console. In very few cases you will have to actually visit the end user machine.

You can either put the password to access SEP features from end users machines.

    OR

Create a group and assign the default policy where it won't block any SEP feature.

Securing the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client user interface and settings.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH185903

If it's a unmanaged client then make the registry changes.
