  • 1.  Uninstalling security essentials with SEPM remote push

    Posted Jan 03, 2018 01:50 AM

I have 300 clients and MS security essentials is installed on all of them .

I am pushing SEP client remotely through SEPM with the option ""Automatically uninstall third party antivirus "

But when the installation of SEP is completed MS security essentials is still not uninstalled and working ...

I know there is a tool SEPPrep but i dont know how to integrate it with remote push deployment ..How can i do this through SEPM remote push ?

    Hello,

What version of MS security essentials are installed on the machines?

Check the Entire List on the below Article:

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.INFO3976.html

    Hope that helps!!

Open a Support case with information on what version of Windows and Security Essentials you have. There may be an internal tool we can use to remove it. Once you have opened the case, please message me the case number and I'll see what we can do. Thanks.

    Hi Adam ,

Yeah need to open the case i tried SEPprep too but wasnt successful Although it removes security essentials but after removing essentials when the installation of SEP takes place i get this error "The installler integrity check fails "

50 percent of my work is completed through  SEPprep  it removes the anitvirus but i m unable to install sep through SEPprep. And in our organization we have to do it parallel i.e first to uninstall the existing antivirus and then start the installation for SEP which i guess SEPPrep can do s
