  • 1.  Unmanaged Intall Rolls back on vista Home

    Trying to install Endpoint protection 11.0.4 unmanaged version on Vista home, install rolls back once it reaches
    VDegHub.zip Tried removing all entries including the registry but no luck.

    Try moving the VDefHub.zip to another directory and running the install again.

    Also be sure that you are right-clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator".

    Is your CD1 extracted properly ?

    please go to run and type %temp% and enter
    lokk for a file SEP_INST.log search for return value 3 in that. paste 5-6 lines before and after that on th thread

    One of the reasons for the roll back of SEP in Vista could also be due to Liveupdate version. You can try uninstalling the Liveupdate from add/remove programs. Download the Liveupdate version 3.5 from the following site.

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/liveupdate/3.5

    Run the lusetup and it will install Liveupdate 3.5 on your Vista machine and then you can try the installation
