Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Hello all,  I have take over an Altiris environment that is running on version 7.1 with 500 agents.  I'd like to work on upgrading our environment to a newer version but since I never installed it not sure on the best way to go.  Are there any good articles on upgrading?  We are setup with 3 servers.  1 SMP server, 1 Site Server and 1 SQL server.  Each running on Windows server 2008 R2.  Thanks for any help and guidance.  Really appreciate the help.

Thanks for the info.  Would you guys recommend going from 7.1 to a specific version like 7.5 first or just going to 8.0?

In you case you can upgrade 7.1.x to 7.6 HF6 and then upgrade to ITMS 8.0:
