    Hi All,

I've just downloaded the latest release of SEPM - Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.6_MP2.

I am currently running  version 11.0.5002.333

Can i simply run this upgrade on the SEPM server (Win 2K3) without any outage or disruption, any reboots required?

How does the upgrade of clients work? I read on another thread you then need to deploy the upgrade via a package?

    Thanks in Advance.

Because you're on 11.0.5, you first need to upgrade to RU6a (available on FileConnect) then upgrade to RU6 MP2. The upgrade path from 11.0.5 to RU6 MP2 is not recommended nor supported.

There is not reboot required to upgrade the SEPM.

Same goes for the clients. You can assign install packages to groups from within the SEPM. They will first need to be upgraded to RU6a then RU6 MP2. A reboot will be required after each upgrade.

Thanks - When i go to FileConnect I enter the serial number and then land at a languages then download page, the only option I have is to download MP2.

Where do I get RU6a from as its not on my FileConnect ? Is this a public download?

If you call support, they will provide you with another serial or give you an ftp site from which to download.
