  • 1.  Upgrading my SEP install

    I am running SEP 11.0.2010.25

I need to update to RU5.  I went to our support site yesterday, and downloaded, but it's the full program, not just a service pack type install like I was hoping.  I have a couple of concerns:

    1)  When I run this on my existing AV box, will it recognize that I already have SEP 11 installed, and just do an update/upgrade to RU5?
    2)  Will I have to recreate the install packages that I already have, since they'll be a different version now?
    3)  Will I lose any of the configurations, settings, or policies that I have in place now?

I need to know this information as quickly as possible, as I'm supposed to be doing this upgrade this morning.

Thank you very much for any advice/tips that you can offer.

Yes you have two options, you can create package and use or use autoupgrade feature.
