Endpoint Protection

Hi there,

I need to move Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager from one server to another for one of my clients.

I was following the steps in www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sepm-moving-one-server-another to move everything across but it fell over when I realised that the two versions are slightly different.

The one that is currently installed and working is version 11.0.4014.26, the only installer I have is for version 11.0.4000.2295.

Is anyone able to put me in the right direction of how to upgrade the install on the new server so it matches the old server so I can continue with the migration?

You can download the latest version of SEPM and upgrade the current server.

Install the second server with New version. Now you will have same version in both the servers. continue with the "sepm-moving-one-server-another"

Would suggest some simple steps

As you have installed SEPM with the latest version on the new server

Simply run Sylink replacer on all the clients and they should report to the new SEPM

You would get the Sylink replacer at

And then add the install package to upgrade the clients for which you can refer to the following link
