  • 1.  User should not be able to disable SEP from there laptop or desktop

    Team, We are facing a big problem in our branch. All user's are disabling there Antiviruses from there laptop's and desktops.

    is there any way stop user to do this from our Antivirus console.

    For Password setting to stop the service of clients

    1. Open the console manager
    2. Click Clients
    3. Select Policies tab.
    4. Click on General Settings.
    5. Select Security Settings tab.
    6. Select Require a password to uninstall the client
    7. Type the <password> in the box.
    8. Click OK.

    Hi in addition you can also set the paasword to prevent users from doing any changes like discribed below:

     

    1. In the console, click Clients.

    2. Under Clients, select the group for which you want to set up password protection.

    3. On the Policies tab, under Location-independent Policies and Settings, click General Settings.

    4. Click Security Settings.

    5. On the Security Settings tab, choose any of the following check boxes:

      • Require a password to open the client user interface

      • Require a password to stop the client service

      • Require a password to import or export a policy

      • Require a password to uninstall the client

    6. In the Password text box, type the password.

      The password is limited to 15 characters or less.

    7. In the Confirm password text box, type the password again.

    8. Click OK
