  • 1.  Using a Host Integrity rule to execute SylinkDrop?

    Posted Mar 08, 2018 11:54 AM

So we have a bunch of machines still reporting into our SEP 12 SEPM that I cannot reach with my SEP 14 install package via SCCM. I have exported a Communications Package from the SEP 14 server, and I was thinking about creating a Host Integrity policy on the SEP 12 side, that will redirect the remaining machines from the SEP 12 SEPM to the SEP 14 SEPM (they totally different infrastructures).

Does this seem like a reasonable way to handle the situation? Is there a better way? I do not have domain credentials, so any method that uses them is not feasible.

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    -Mike

Since you have SCCM , best way would be to create DCM rules to import the Sylink file. A powershell script inside a DCM can do this, best part is you will get a report from SCCM relating success.

    Using HI is listed here

Thanks for the reply Rafeeq! As I mentioned, these machines cannot be reached by SCCM, and while I know nothing about DCM rules, if it involves SCCM, it will not work on these machines. The link you provided will definitly save me some time, so thank you for that, and so far no one else has offered a better method...so, I'm calling your response the winner.

    All the best,
