I am trying to change workflow designer to use IIS as the default debugger. When I do I get this error:

An error has occurred trying to mount the debugger at http://localhost/.

Any idea why? IIS is installed and I can get to the default webpage.

Any specifics in the event viewer?

What OS is this installed on? If Server 2008 R2 you might make sure you have all of your role services checked for IIS including IIS 6 Management Compatability. Though I'm just throwing darts here, I haven't had any issues with using IIS as my debugger.

Check the following parameters of Workflow Server Configuration in Deployment Info section:

    •  Physical Root Directory
    •  Root URL
    •  IIS Root Path
    •  App Pool Id

These are crucial for deploying application on IIS.

I have Designer on my client machine which is running Windows 7 x64. IIS 7 is installed.
