  • 1.  using pushdeloyment to update definition only

    dear guy

    I going to use "pushdeloyment wizard" to push virus definition only to client with slient install, this is my step :

    1/ i choice deloy self-installing executable

    2/ IN "specify the executable package you wish to deploy"   browse to "20141119-020-v5ì32.exe" ( i download from http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=sep )

    3/ command line options : i type "/q" 

    4/ next and choice client IP to push

    but i monitor process on client there are no process , is it something wrong , pls help me !!!!

    This push deployment tool is for pushing the SEP client, not virus defintions.

    You can use psexec to push the intelligent updater and execute it remotely, see here:

    rename the file as Setup.exe and try or use psexec

    oh , now i unsderstand why it not work, thks guy

    can i ask another question : when  i using pushdeloyment to push sep package to client , but current i going to deploy 100 client in weekend but some client not join domain so pushdeploy popup a windows : "remote client authentication" to ask user name and password. So how to skip all this popup windows ?

    No possible to skip that.. It would try to authenticate all the machines before pushing the package... While creating IP list remove those machines

    You cannot skip it. You need to authenticate with a local account then.
