  • 1.  Using SEPM RU5 with SEP Client MR4

    Posted Feb 23, 2010 07:01 PM
    Hi,

We are using SEPM RU5 with SEP Client MR5 at the moment. However, we are having issues with the sysfer.dll file in the RU5 with our inhouse CRM. Symantec has confirmed this. We were told to revert back to MR4. My question is :

    1. Can we use SEPM RU5  to push out the MR5 client? or do we have to roll back the SEPM RU5 to SEPM MR4?

    Thanks,
    Branden

You can have your MU5 SEPM to manage MR4 clients without any problem.

SEPM on RU5 can manage SEP MR4 cleints, But the question that you have that can SEPM on RU5 push a package pf MR4. The ans to the question is YES , if the pacakges for MR4 is already there in the SEPM Admin Tab under Install Packages.
This is only possible if it is an upgrade from MR4

.If it is a new /fresh install of RU5 you cant create MR4 packages as you can't add that packages in RU5 SEPM
