Vendor information updated in Patch Management SP1 and scheduling the vendor update task

    This question is about Patch Management SP1 and the vendor information....

     

    I am curious as to how often the vendor information is updated and more importantly if I can schedule the update vendor task in the Patch section instead of just having to click on "update" manually.

     

    I noticed that under the Adobe Section for example we can select Adobe Shockwave 11.5 and then grab patches for it, however Adobe Shockwave 11.6 is the current version.

    You can change the sechedule by going to Home > Notification Server > First Time Setup

    Choose Step 5 - Schedule Patch Management

    Under Step 1, turn Windows on if it isn't already

    Click the scheduled time -- by default 2:10 a.m. to coincide with the Daily shared schedule -- and choose a new shared schedule, or define a custom schedule
