  • 1.  Very slow email releasing and submission error

    Hi folks,

    We use 10.6.0.-7 on VM with the recommended hardware config.

    For some reason our incoming email releasing is become very slow. Our spam quarantine size was 10gb and so i thought that's the issue but then i brought it down to 7 and set the limit threshold to 8gb. Even the TAC said that could be the issue and the spam quarantine size should be around 5gb with frequent email expunging.

    I then also check under control center-smtp and we have set it to our internal email server under "define new host"

    And under protocols - domains also we have set the same internal server ip address with a check box on "Optionally route this domain or email address"  and destination host mentioned as the internal email server at port 25.

    We also get an error as below at times, even when what we did is release the email and did not submit it.

    It so happened that the "submit to symantec" box was checked in spam - quarantine settings and that was submitting the msgs to symantec during releasing and hence the delay and the error.

    The good folks at TAC fixed this.
