  • 1.  VIP Enterprise Gateway on Windows Server 2012 R2

    Hi,

    Is it possible to install the VIP EG onto a Windows Server 2012 R2?

    I know it is officially not in the supported OS list.

     

    Doas anyone have any experience and/or drawbacks with this combination?

    Greetings Dawi,

    With the recent release of VIP EG 9.4, Windows Server 2012 x64 is on our supported platforms list. You can find the details within the installation guide in your VIP Manager.

    In addition, you can also contact support for general inquiries, and a more detailed scope can be researched.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I have seen the release notes and install guide for VIP EG 9.4 and can confirm the compatibility with Windows Server 2012.

    However, I was referring specifically to Windows Server 2012 'R2' and any experience or notes on this one..

    Hi Dawi,

    Unfortunately, we do not have any current information regarding the R2 release of server 2012. You may wish to talk to your account/client manager. Alternatively, you can open a case with the support team and request for any information regarding upcoming releases.
