Messaging Gateway

I'm attempting to set up SBG as a virtual appliance on ESXi 3.5. It appears to have installed ok.

I cannot connect to it to configure from outside the subnet it is in (DMZ). And when I connect to it from within its subnet, it cannot register the license because it can't see the internet.

I am currently running SBG live temporarily as a virtual appliance on VMWare Workstation that is located in the same subnet and it works fine. This leads me to believe it is not a firewall issue.
 
Is it a VMware configuration problem or SBG setup problem?
