There are several customers virtualizing fonts. In most cases they are virtualized and streamed as part of an application. You could potentially use font packs and virtualize by itself. Can you please tell us what type of fonts these are and how they will be used? For instance, are these fonts that will be used both by base (non-virtualized) applications and virtualized applications or just by virtualized applications?

For me it's only 30 .ttf to install, but when I would like to stream it, it dosen't work.

It will be for virtualized and non-virtualized applications.

Sorry, I can't sent you the fonts, because we must pay a licences for this specific fonts.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello Salerno,

Do you know by chance if these fonts when installed on a machine that does not have SWV/SWS installed work fine with non-virtalized apps?

Also lookis like non of the 30 .TTF works when you stream them? Please confirm. Could you please list a few fonts here and we can try to obtain them and test? Also include steps-to-reproduce.

    Regards,

    Bala

    Hi Bala,

We are seeing with Marco Heineck (Symantec) for virtualizing fonts.

But If you want to know the fonts name is for exemple: --> Helvetica / Helvetica black

They work perfectly when hard install (without virtual)

But when we would virtualize them we have nothing....

If We found a solution we post it on connect to

Make sure that the layer contains the font registration.  Look in the registry of the layer (read only sublayer) under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts.  Your fonts should be listed in that registry key.  If not, then the fonts weren't captured and therefore won't be registered when you stream/virtualize the fonts layer.

You might want try a global capture when creating the fonts layer as font registration can be performed by the shell or the system processes rather than an application's installation processes and might be missed during layer capture.

How ryanmc said, you can try capture by a global layer or to virtualize the software, after you add a global layer only a registration key and any other configurations.
