    Hello!

I have a problem launching virtualized Adobe Professional 11. I am using Virtual Composer 7.5. During packaging process all is ok. After I import the package to Streaming Console (7.5), advertise the icon to the client computer, I doubleclick the icon, the application starts to download.Download process stops at 8-10% and the system crashes and only hard reset can return it to running state. At the same time virtualized Filezilla works fine on this machine. Client system versions (Virtual Composer machine and client machine): Windows 7 - the OS's identical and deployed from the same image. Please advice.

    Best regards,
    Ilya

    Good Morning Ilya,

In our experience, we noticed that programs hard lock or Blue Screen due to user's logging into the system not having access to certain folders or registry items in the virtual layer.  Make sure that you don't hard pointers in your registry to the account that built the virtualized layer.  Also, make sure that in the user portion of the registry for the virtual layer that you delete the MUI Cache and .DEFAULT that shows up as they can lock the layer as well.

    Good Luck.

    Hello Palvaran!

I deleted everything under the .Default branch as well as user hives which are under userguids in the registry. I attached the screenshot with the layer registry editing window. Still my system hangs when I launch virtualized Adobe Standart.

Only once, when I captured cmd.exe (while capturing Adobe Standart) and at that time I deleted only .Default branch of the registry, the Virtualized Adobe started succefully once and when I launch it second time it crashed.

    Best regards,

    Ilya

    Hey Ilya,

Here is a sample of our registry for Acrobat Reader 11.0.3.

    adobe1.jpg

Delete the .DEFAULT key too.  Don't leave it there.  I can't remember what other keys were deleted so I am showing a top level registry view of what we left.  Also, when you are explorting the layer, are you unchecking the option to distribute the layer?

    Hi Palvaran!

    Thank you for information!

I cannot fully delete .Default key. The "remove" option is unavailable. See the screenshot. emm, I'm sorry but I do not understand at what moment I should uncheck the option:  distribute the layer.

Also, I installed the SWV agent on the client machine and succefully imported the Adobe Standart  package (The one that does not work in Streaming). The package works correctly in SWV admin tool. I can successfully activate and deactivate the layer and work with pdf documents using the Virtual Adobe Standart. But still when using in Streaming it freezes the system.

    Best regards,
    Ilya

    Hello Ilya,

The next guess would be to see if AV solution is possibly conflicting because Adobe Acrobat Pro is pretty huge to stream.

What AV product and version are you using?

Process Monitor out will be useful to find what is happening.

    Regards,

    Bala
