Pick an affected client and start by running the SymDiag tool on it to see if the current content set is corrupt or if there are other issues:

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170752

Additionally, you can run the Intelligent Updater on it, which should clear up any content issues:

So it could either be a cosmetic bug in the SEPM GUI or the client hadn't yet check in with the SEPM. What does it show on the Clients page in the SEPM for this machine?

Additionally, what is the exact SEPM and client version running?

I'd still run SymDiag for additional troubleshooting.

"What does it show on the Clients page in the SEPM for this machine?"

Are you talking about on the client machine or on the SEPM machine ?

SEPM and client version is 12.1.6

    Yes.

So the SEPM is showing incorrectly while the SEP client itself is correct?

Yes, That's what it looks like.

Delete the client from the SEPM and force it to check back in. See if that corrects it.

How to fix the " Computers with out of date virus Definitions"

Well first are these all experiencing the same issue where they're actually up to date?

Otherwise, if they're not than you can send the command from SEPM for them to go out to LiveUpdate and pull down the latest updates.

Yes, looks like the same issue for all the clients.

Then there is no need to update them. Again, it may be just a cosmetic issue with that version, since you're running a few versions behind. An upgrade to the latest version may correct it but I would suggest contacting support so someone can remote in and verify.

Perhaps as a test, delete the client from SEPM and force it to check back in or re-install the agent on one affected client. This will give a better indication of where the problem lies.
