I have a Vista Business edition computer that I am not admin on and current has AV, network threat, and proactive threat on.  If I place this computer into a group which policy only has Antivirus/Antispyware, it removes Network and Proactive from my client fine.   If I try and place the computer later on back into the group/policy that has the Network/Proactive Threat, it never installs those two options again on my computer.  I get errors in my App log that state:

LiveUpdate returned a non-critical error. Available content updates may have failed to install.

Product: Symantec Endpoint Protection -- Configuration failed.

Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Symantec Endpoint Protection. Product Version: 11.0.5002.333. Product Language: 1033. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.

Just curious if anyone else has seen this behavior on their boxes.  IT only occurs when I remove and re-add to a policy containing Network/Proactive threat.  In order to correct, i run Cleanwipe and reinstall SEP.  Then all my options show up again

    Thanks
    Steve

    Disbale UAC in vista.
    remove ntp from the policy
    reboot the box
put it to have ntp agani
    reboot it again.
see if that works, i think it might be because of drivers marked for deletion when ntp is removed.

Are there known problems with Vista's UAC and Endpoint?

    Thanks

deployment wont be successful..i think its causing the rollback

If the client's operating system is Vista, User Access Control (UAC) and the Firewall must be disabled. If UAC is not disabled, an 'access denied' error will appear during the deployment process.
