  • 1.  VMware Web Gateway instance out of space; MySQL failing to launch

    I installed a virtual instance of Web Gateway, as a demo, a few weeks ago. After collecting some data, the disk sda3 (90gb) appears to be 100% full with 0 bytes available. MySQL will not start during the boot-up process, so I am assuming the DB is corrupt as well.

    Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? I have logged into the console, but there appears to be a very limited set of menu options to execute there.

    Thanks

    Back up your configuration, give it more disk space and redeploy. Then reduce how many logs you are retaining.

    To reduce the log storage.

    Administration -> Configuration -> Maintenance.

    Incident history. We recommend setting values for both the number of days to retain and maximum number of incidents. The highest I would set for the maximum number of incidents would be 900,000 as the database is only rated for approx 1,000,000 entries. Lower than 900,000 is fine as well.
