I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used MS SQL Server 2012 or later with the DLP Enforce server instead of the Oracle DB.

    Mike,

It has Never been done and will never be done or supported.

The installation requires Oracle 12c. All of the scripts and processes to populate the DB are all dependent on it.

I am former Vontu/Symantec and it has been this way sice day 1, because Oracle was more secure (encryption etc.) than MSSQL at the time. In addition the amount of work to re-write the application and procedure calls would take forever.

    It will never be supported..

    Good Luck

    Ronak

    PLEASE MARKED SOLVED

Ronak's right - Symantec really doesn't reinvest in big codebase rewrites unless there's a big event (like how EV got an index rewrite when the 32b code aged out for 64b).  I don't see anything on the horizon that would force their hands to make that investment.
