  • 1.  Web Gateway on Hyper-V

    Hi Team,

    As we understand that Web Gateway will install on ESX-ESXi but we have Hyper V – Microsoft Virtualization environment.

    Please advise.

    the virtual edition is supported on ESXi from 5.0.2 version

    You are correct that Hyper-V currently isn't a supported platform for the Symantec Web Gateway.  This is something Symantec is looking into, but at this time there is no committed date as to when this will happen.

    Hi,

    If its isn't work with Hypy- then can we use VMWare Player?

    SWG is only supported on the VMware ESX Server or Version 4.0, 4.1 or 5 platforms.

    It may work, but it is not supported, so you will be very limited in your support options it is in not working how you expect it to.
