What is the max. size I could download using a browser from the device ?

I do not want to connect using WinSCP or other Tools.

I would like to use the Download Backup Feature on the Control Center and dowbload the Backup file on the Desktop. Is there a max file size limitation ?

Yes, there is a limit on the Admin / Version / Restore-download tab.  When I try to download a 2.09 GB backup, I get the error: "The selected backup is too large to be downloaded."  So: what is the "real" limit.

This might be due to the limit in IE 6 (2 GB), IE 7 (4 GB).  See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298618

I was using Firefox 3.6.3 on Vista Pro.

Symantec Security User:  why not just use FTP in the first place?  And why the opposition to WinSCP? The need to activate Support?
