What is size of client package from SEPM 14.1 to SEP 14.1 client. and what is method of upgrade for future clients.

If you deploy without content it is around 100 MB. If you include content it is around 150 MB.

Method remains the same is it was in 12.1. You can use auto-upgrade with SEPM or choose to push with a tool such as Altiris.

We got updates saying SEP 14.1 clients get updated via SEPM same as like definition updates and package size that will around 5MB. is there any article.

also Is the SEP 14.1 upgrade from SEP 12.1 version required reboot.

The differences between 12.1.x and 14 are outlined in this Symantec KB article:

Once you're on 14, upgrades to future versions of 14 will be smaller.

14 also uses the Intelligent Threat Cloud Service which minimizes the virus defs used for the standard client. It now uses content in the cloud.

A reboot is needed to complete the upgrade from 12.1.x to 14.

thanks for the article and information one last quetion: can SEP 14.1 manages SEP12.1 clients like update content and policies.

we know SEP11 cannt update content updates but reports in SEP 14.1 console correct me if wrong.

Yes, SEPM 14 can and will fully manage 12.1 clients.

SEPM 14 cannot manage 11.x clients. 11.x is not supported by SEPM 14.
