The work around is
Take the backup of the regisrty and then
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ AutoEndTasks and set the value to 1

I have tried previously to deploy this workaround via GPO, but couldn't get it to work. Manually editing the registry seems to work. This ccapp hang, I thought was supposed to be fixed in RU6 MP1. I was disappointed that it wasn't.
