Why do I keep getting out-of-date alerts for 24/7 servers?

    Lost my post....

I keep getting out-of-date client emails.  Just about every day.  I understand the number of machines threshold has been reached.  I don't understand why these machines, mostly servers, aren't getting updates apparently.

Last time status changed -- That's always now/today.

Virus definition and last download might be two week to a month ago.  If the servers are on all the time, why aren't they getting updates?

SEPM and most user machines are on 12.1.7061.6600.

Most servers are still on 12.1.6168.6000.

For the servers who are 12.1.6168.6000, only some of them aren't getting updates apparently.

I'm looking at one server on the email alerts.  It's green on the SEP software.  I can run a live update and that works.  But virus and spyware protection and Proactive thread protection say April still.

What's going on here?  And how can I troubleshoot this?  Restarting servers is out pretty much.

First off, run the SymDiag tool on one of the affected machines to see if defs are corrupt

Download SymDiag to detect Symantec product issues
