I am trying to build an inplace upgrade ts for windows 10 1607 from win . I upgraded the client to 12.1 ru6 mp6 then tried to run the inplace upgrade and win10 is still saying sep is not compliant to upgrade. Generally when doing a win 10 inplace upgrade I would remove the AV before the upgrade and reinstall after but we have an uninstall password here and getting approval to disable that is not likely,

Should win 10 1606 work with ru6mp6? If an uninstall/reinstall is needed how can I do this programatically without any user input? To my knowledge, there is no way to provide the uninstall password other than the pop up box within the GUI uninstall.

Here is Smantec's KB article for SEP and Windows 10 support:

Endpoint Protection support for Windows 10

You can silently remove SEP but I would suggest removing the uninstall password first as it cannot be passed silently.
