We've started rolling out Win7 SP1 PC's and I've discovered the hard way thay SEP doesnt support Win 7 SP1 and in some cases doesnt work at all.
I raised a case with Symantec and they confirmed that SP1 is not support or compatible.
symantec endpoint manager is not supported on win7
you can install symantec endpoint protection with no problems, what does it say when u run the install? not supported? are u using latest 11.0.6xxxx?
Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 Release Update 7 (RU7) and higher will include support for Service Pack 1 running on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
This is the client.
11.6 MP2, It installs fine the the SMC service stops instantly. Raised a case with Symantec and they said that Win SP1 is not compatible.
When is this due for release?
It's not sure when it would be released.
