  • 1.  Windows 7 package install "Publisher could not be verified"

    I am trying to create a package for a MSI file.

    But when I run the filename.msi manually, in Windows, I get a Window prompt, to verify the Publisher.

    I need a way to temporarily get around this..

    I found a Registry hack that fixes the problem:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations]
    "LowRiskFileTypes"=" .msi

    But, after I turn this on, I can't seem to turn it off.

    Anyone have any suggestions..

    ... you posting in the correct forum? If yes, I guess you will need to provide further information first. What DS or NS environment, what is the target OS and if Vista/Win7 what is the UAC setting on the target machines?
