    Hi ,

I am trying to setup a Windows 7 x64 scripted OS install. I have an Unattend file that is setup to Install the OS. I have drivers copied to the DriversDB folder on the Altiris Server. When I select the Windows 7 x64 Job, it reboots the PC and the OS install fails with "Error 1 during the script execution." I use the existing WinPE  that I use for x86 scripted OS install. Do I need to have a x64 WinPE setup for the x64 scripted install ? If Yes, How do I setup a new WinPE x64. Please advise.

    Thanks in advance.!!

Yes, you need to use WinPE x64 for 64bit scripted OS installations. If you are using PXE you'll need to create a new PXE preboot configuration for x64 (Settings>Deployment>Create Preboot Configurations) and change the 'Boot To' task to use it. If you are using automation folders you'll need to install the 64 bit automation folder to the client.

Thanks sfaucher. That helped. I did setup the 64-bit WinPE and it seems to be working now.

    Thanks !!
