    Dear All!

I don't have much time to create memory dumps (frankly I don't even know how should I do one in this scenario) but I wanted to share this information:

I installed a 2012 R2 op.system (to VMware and Hyper-V too just to check), Installed Sharepoint 2013 SP1, the os and the sharepoint is fully patched. The computers belong to a domain of course. Without symantec, there are no errors, but when I install the latest client, and shut down the VM-s, they never boot up fully, they just stuck on "Please wait..." or "Applying Security Policy". After a while (while=hours) The "press CTRL+ALT+DELETE" screen shows up, but when I press ctrlaltdel, only the blue screen comes up, nothing more. Even after a whole night.

Earlier versions of the client did not produce this error.

The server is reachable by ping and by remote event log (altough it shows no error) but cannot be reached remotely by services.msc or other means.

The workaround is: Safe mode with networking - disjoin from domain (If the computer is not in the domain, there is no error! No-GPO OU is not a solution either) after restart, everything is working (altough it starts a little laggy), so I can remove symantec, restart and re-join into the domain, and voilá, everything is fine.

rolling back again... (after 12.1.4 symantec goes downhill at us)

    regards,

    V.

What SEP components are installed and enabled? Have you tried with only the AV component enabled?

12.1.4 supports "Windows Server 2012 R2" but it doesn't support the followings.

    •Windows Server 2012 R2 update for April 2014
    •Windows Server 2012 R2 update for August 2014

If your OS is one of the above 2, try installing a supported SEP version (12.1.5 or later).
