  • 1.  Windows Update Failed

    Hi,

    Our Windows Server 2012 installed with Symantec Data Center Security : Server Advanced v6.5 MP1 is not able to install many of the Windows Updates. Is there anything we need to temporary disable for the DCS before we can properly install Windows Updates?

    We have no problem Windows Updates for all other server running DCS Agent.

    What's the event log in the DCS management console? Is there any IPS event about the Windows updates on Windows Server 2012?

    Hi Yang,

    Besides the Windows Updates fail, the SQL Express 2014 also hits the 10GB database limit. Since we have moved this DCS Hyper-V VM from Server 2012 to 2012 R2, we have decided to reinstall a new DCS and reconfigure, since we only have 4 DCS agents.

    Because SQL database is already full, I do not think there is any more events written into the database, so we cannot check the IPS event. Further more, loading a 500 events will return error after waited for more than 10 minutes.
