    Hi,

I installed a new version of PreS Designer (by PrintSoft) on my win 7 sp1 64 bit.

It keeps crashing saying Faulting module name: user32.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514 (the details i gathered are in the attached file)

PrintSoft claims it may have to do with our Anti-virus product Symantec Endpoint Protection, of which my computer is a client. This claim they base on the findings that another anti-virus, BitDefender, creates problems

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

What I have found out though, is, that certain AntiVirus SW can have impact on system DLL s and cause issues with applications trying to load the user32.dll:

I would like to know if there is any problem concerning Symantec and User32.dll , in some specific cases?

What should i tell the manufacturer?

    Thank you for your help.

PS: As i mentined what i use on my PC is Symantec Endpoint Protection  vers 12.1.4013.4013 as client, thus i didn't exactly know what to mention on the product tag.

If you could send the crash dump files from this folder:

    C:\Users\IsraelH\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_PReS Designer.ex_1b217dc455a6275612b30a681ef759d24c62cec_12cbd77a

then it would be easier to find the crash cause,it's hard to claim anything without the dump files. There should MDMP, HDMP or DMP files in that folder.

    thanks!
