Hello
I am running DS6.9 SP4 which is using WinPE2.1. I have a new batch of dell 990's which i can't get to image. I have imaged previous 990's without issue but these new ones are a bit of a problem.
What is happening is WinPE downloads ok but as soon as the progress bar gets to 100% the machine reboots. There are no error messges to go on, the download completes, the screen goes blank and we are booting again.
I have tried
1) Rebooting the deploy server
2) Regenerated the WinPE PXE image
3) Went to the dell website and grabbed the Vista 32-bit Intel Driver for Rapid Storage Technology (Pre-OS) and injected that into the WinPE image. I had already injected the NIC drivers from previous bacthes of 990's.
4) booted off a Win7 install DVD, formatted the drive and then tried the image process again.
5) Tried AHCI, ATA and RAID SATA modes
Still the problem remains. Any suggestions? Is my WinPE getting too old? i see on the dell driver page there are drivers for WinPE V5.0...
