Wireless Connection stopped working with W7 & SEP 11.0.5002.333

    Hi,
I just installed the unmanaged client of SEP 11.0.5002.333 on Windows 7 and my wireless connections stopped working. I have tried changing the firewall rules, added EAPOL, etc.... but nothing seems to be working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have enabled network threat protection can you remove just the NTP component and try connecting you wireless

    add / remove programs
    symantec endpoint
    modify
    remove ntp
    run the install
    check if the wireless works

have you enabled this policy, this can be done on umanaged client also

I have already enabled the policy and it does not help.

Tried uninstalling the NTP and the issue is still not resolved. Wireless connectivity is not

Can I ask if you are sure that this is strictly a problem with SEP and not Win 7? A lot of users are upgrading to Win 7 and RU5 simultaneously. Personally I had issues getting my wi-fi to work on Win 7. Specifically the wireless card would not get powered back on after I entered standby. Anyway are you sure this is a SEP issue?

    Try by rebooting...

Has this issued been resolved? I've been having a similar issue with SEP 11 managed and a few XP laptops. Wireless worked when I uninstalled SEP 11 and reinstalled 10.5

Thought to be a firewall issue, but there were no rules set in place to reject any packets. Everything was allowed.

    Any thoughts?
