  • 1.  WOL Task status keeps running on client

    Hi guys,

     

    CMS 7.1 SP2

    When running a Wake-On-LAN task using the 'power management' task, it executes on the client computer perfectly.

    However, once the client is up and running and checking the agent's task status, the WOL tasks remains in 'running' status.

     

    Subsequent tasks on the client also reports the status of running although they are executed perfectly.

    I have seen this issue in 3 different clean 7.1 SP2 installs.

    Even after a reboot the issue continues.

     

    Anyone else got this behaviour, and even maybe a solution?

    Quick solution update on my own post.

     

    There is an issue with tasks staying in a running state in 7.1 SP2.

    When applying the v3 rollup fix, this issue is solved.

     

    Also the WOL tasks execute fine now.

    Hi

     

    I am also having the same issue but,  where is this v3 rollup fix located? Cannot find it under Symantec Installation Manager.

    I am running CMS 7.1 SP2

    You can only obtain this fix from Symantec support.
