I was wondering if Workflow Solution 8.0 supports multiple active backends? 7.1 only supported 1 active one at a time, but doesn anyone know about 8.0's ability.
What do you mean by active backends? Background processing role for the Workflow server in load-balanced configuration?
Either way, I am certain that what you are asking has not changed from 7.6 to 8.0.
By Backend, I am meaning that when a service is kicked off asynchronously, they run on the Background Processing server. They are determined when you are setting up the roles for the server as you are installing. We currently run with two front ends and 1 active backend server and 1 passive. I was wondering as we were running on 7.1 and are now moving to 8.0 whether that has changed and we can run 2 active backend servers.
