  • 1.  zip file virus help

    when a zip is scanned and resolved teh zip file is left empty. is this normal, and how to resolve this

    What about remaining, infected (?) ZIP files

     The decomposer engine of SEP does this action ..
    Normally it scans three level deep to a zip file  ( that a file inside a zip that inside a zip and that inside a zip.

    It can detect and take action against it however if the zip file is password protected it will not be able to scan it

    i believe this is working, but after it is scanned and resolved it leaves a empty zip file?

     Yes thats true as the actual zip file is nothing but a container which is harmless and non-malicious so it leaves it..

    But this is creating a still infected event on the SEPM.... what can we do about that...?
