I was unable to install the Symantec Endpoint 64-bit client via push from the server console (Windows 2003 32-bit Std.) to my 64-bit Windows 7 machine.  Instead, I had to explode the Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.5_AllWin_EN_CD1 zip file and, from there, right click on the setup.exe file and change the compatibility to Vista 32-bit.  The client program finally installed into the Program Files (x86) folder.

I then followed the instructions in Document ID:

2008110714513748 "How to change a Symantec Endpoint Protection client from unmanaged to managed in MR3 and later".  This worked and my Windows 7 64-bit computer now appears as a managed computer in the Symantec Endpoint Console on the server.  And, the amazing thing is that my system is recognized as running "Windows 7 Professional Edition" in the Operating System column!  There certainly is some kind of disconnect in the push installation package from the server on this score.

@sajid997, Version 11.0.780.1109 is very old and not compatible on Windows 7.

Windows 7 support was added in RU5, but I suggest downloading the latest version (11.0.7101.1056)
