Antivirus update offline must be prohibited

I have used many Antiviruses. I had also found one defect that some of them are providing Update offline it's product.Due to this facility many people and even industries are using pirated antiviruses.

To stop this event i think offline update must be prohibited.

Let's rather have secure & protected PCs than spam bots out there. That is also why Microsoft supplies critical patches to any Windows machine. Only Optional patches are not available (automatically) to machines that are running a non-genuine version of Windows.

There are other ways to curb piracy. Additionally, those that pirate the AV software will believe the software is worthless and tell their friends. As you should know, word of mouth advertising is the most effective. I don't think the AV vendors want that kind of a reputation.
