Hi folks! I just want to share my idea, to have a better security using our touchscreen mobile/computer/ipad or whatever it is as long as it is touchscreen, I come up with an idea of the fingerprinting security, if the developer can do such application it will be better and it will give us superb security level of our gadgets, the fingerprinting security must only acknowledge the owner's finger prints, even if we lost or even if our gadgets was stolen no one can use it bcoz of that application, it will also protects the data we have in our gadgets, fingerprints scanning should only be done on the first boot of the owner of the mobile/computers/ipad/iphone.

Now, the problem are yours developers, we we'll wait for this kind of application.

Hi Reginald,

"Thumbs up" from me.  Biometric controls like fingerprint scanners have been around for many years now, and are now standard components on many laptops.  I have no doubt that in coming years these will also be widely integrated into mobile devices like smartphones.  There are already some out there: a quick internet search for "smartphone fingerprint" provides some interesting reading.  In time the present limitations will likely be overcome.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition 6 on Windows Mobile requirs a PIN to be entered before the device can be unlocked.  When the built-in fingerprint readers are widely available, perhaps a thumbprint will replace that.  (Hopefully, a warm gummy bear will not also successfully unlock it!

With thanks and best regards,
