Currently to achieve this functionality customers have to purchase a load balancer or play around with DNS RR.  In addition I'm not entirely sure that the setup would be supported by Symantec if any issues were encountered.  To me it would make more sense for PGP Desktop clients to function the same way that SEP does with it's Sylink.xml server list.  This way replication partners could be added/removed from the management server list and clients could report into whichever was online in case one of them went down.

I have over 160 client and a cluster of two servers, one sponsoring and one joining.

I have given a common name for both, like you said DNS RR.

I update the servers one by one, the updates require reboot. When one is offline the other functions normally.

I keep checking the replication status, there is no latency. Haven't had any issue.
