Servicedesk Password Hint should not be required

This one should be simple. In the latest ServiceDesk 7.5 release, the Password Hint on a user account is set to be required. This might be good for ad-hoc users however when you import from AD, most users wouldn't be resetting their ServiceDesk password. under normal circumstances its fine because the import ignores this but when you want to modify a user record, such as setting them as a VIP you can't save the record unless you put something in the password hint box. Fortunately for us we can put a space in there and it will be accepted but I don't feel that it should be required at all.

Hi jpellet,

The feature already exist in Symantec Workflow and ServiceDesk 7.5, where you have the option to either make it mandatory or remove it completely.

Go to Admin>Master Setting>Account setting and remove the check from Require Password Hint. Save settings.passwordrequire.jpg
