The ability to create much more customised widgets and the reintroduction of detailed reporting would be great. Being able to create multiple widget pages would also be a plus. Being able to export the widget data or entire widget page in xml to a file on a scheduled timeframe so a SIEM can pick it up would be good.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
Policy error reporting could be made more clearer and more detailed. e.g current reporting of errors related to sig flags are useless, it should state where in the policy the issue lies. If there are multiple errors within the policy then mutiple errors should be shown, not just the first error that is found only to be notified of another when the policy is reapplied. Better detection of ...

Compared to the Java console event manager, the UMC's equivalent is space inefficent, clunky and lacks configurable items. If it can be made to more mirror the java console that would be great. Especially considering that UNIX events can no longer utilise the java console's event wizard the useability between them is stark.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
Much like the Windows policy varients it would be nice if some in-built software installation restriction options were included as part of the policy.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
In keeping alignment with the Windows policies the UNIX policies should have a default deny rule applied to any applications not specified in the application rules. Currently the policies are more geared around blacklisting rather than whitelisting which is concerning as more and more customers are deploying DCS to UNIX fleets.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
The UMC currently does not allow filter combinations to be saved or shared with other administrators. The ability to select a saved filter combination as the default filter setup for ones account would be nice. This is especially handy when the the UMC console times out so frequently and the filters have to be setup from scratch again - very annoying.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
To assist in configuring the policy, it would be nice to select an event and have the ability to see the parent/child events associated within the process chain.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
To assist in tracking down events associated with each other it would be handy to be able to search by parent and child IDs. This is especially useful when configuring the policy to allow deny_ps events.
new idea 15 Jan 2018
When performing application discovery of a server to add applications to an existing policy it would be great if DCS could recognise wildcards within existing application rule paths. Currently this is not the case and therefore many entries for an application (SQL instances, Java versions etc) can clutter the application rule list and search window. Perhaps including a results window that ...
new idea 15 Jan 2018
In large environments the amount of policies and applications can be a pain to organise and keep track of. To make things easier and more efficient the ability to search across all policies for a partilcular application and application path would be great. This would minimise the amount of accidental duplicate application rules and subsequent sandboxes spread across different ...

Datacentre 1 has DCS server 2 connected to DCS db 2. Datacentre 2 has DCS server 3 connected to DCS db 3 (replicated from db 1).

This is a little script package I put together to get a list of clients to point to the right SAV service to be managed. We were seeing a large amount of clients that were shown as being managed by the server but were not taking updates. The FixVirusDef script is pretty simple.
