This video describes the first step in updating an older Symantec Messaging Gateway (10.5.2-3) to SMG 10.6. Updating to SMG 10.6 is a two-step process for pre-10.5.4 gateways.
WARNING: Updating older SMG gateways now is critically important because communication with Symantec's Update Servers will be impossible without SHA-2 certificates after June 30, 2016. Older gateways do not have SHA-2 certificates and there will be no way to update older gateways after June 30, 2016.

Hi there, I've got the SMG 10.0.1 and I want to upgrade to 10.6.4.
As I could see a straight upgrade is not possible, so I'd like to know if I should firstly upgrade to SMG 10.5.2-3 and then follow these instructions for "Updating an older Symantec Messaging Gateway to SMG 10.6"
Or maybe is there another way that I should follow?
