Why Renew?

Small Business Renewals:

Identify your upcoming renewal requirement per your Symantec renewal notification email (notification process varies by product and region) and contact your reseller to place your order.

Enterprise Renewals:

Your reseller will contact you about your upcoming renewal and will prepare the relevant renewal quotation.  For certain products, you may also receive a renewal reminder email from Symantec.

Online Services

Symantec Online Services including cloud and hosted products are sold via subscription for a predetermined term. Your subscription must be renewed for continued access to both your service and Maintenance benefits.

  • Access to 24/7 technical support by phone and online.

Why Renew?

Many of Symantec’s Online Services include an auto-renewal feature enabling uninterrupted access to your product or service. For products that do not include the auto-renew feature, you are required to place a renewal order for your new subscription term. You are reminded that if you don’t renew your subscription on time, you will no longer be able to access your service.

Automatic Renewal (“auto-renewal”):

Where the auto-renewal option is available (for those products with the relevant credit card feature), and you have elected this option, then your account will be invoiced automatically on the subscription renewal date, without any further action required by you.You may opt out of the automatic renewal option at any time by either contacting your reseller, or Symantec at customercare@symantec.com, or if available, by deselecting “opt-out” in the Online Service console. In the event that you choose to opt out of the Automatic Renewal Option, then the subscription must be renewed manually for continued access to the Symantec product or service. Opt-out information is also provided in the Service Description for your product which you can find here.

Manual Renewal:

If an auto-renewal option is not available or if you have chosen to opt out of auto-renewal, then you must contact your reseller or Symantec prior to the subscription expiry date to place a renewal order for continued access to your Symantec product or service beyond the end of the subscription term.

Note: Symantec automatically issues invoices for certain services (“auto-billing”). Auto-billing does not provide continued entitlement to your service. Similar to all manual renewals, all invoices must be settled in full, and in advance of subscription expiry.

Symantec takes non-compliance seriously. All products must be properly licensed with current Maintenance per your License or Service Agreement in order to access your product/service and Maintenance benefits.
